About
A family soda attached to the Casa Isara guesthouse in Liberia, where everything is made fresh to order, reviewers rave about the rice and the batidos (one says the owners ran to the store for pineapple to make theirs). Warm, accommodating hosts and strong value. Because it's cooked to order, a wait is part of the deal.

This was our first restaurant we visited in Costa Rica, and one of our favorites! The food was delicious, they were super friendly and we would love to come back next time we're in the city! It would be helpful to know a bit of Spanish going in, but google translate helped us order what we wanted. We ordered the pineapple batido, and they went to the store to get the pineapple to make it! We stayed at the family Airbnb (Casa Isara) and would highly recommend it!
The food was delicious. This did not make up for the 1.5 hour wait (arrived at 7:30 pm) with no one else waiting. They did not advise us the wait would be long nor give us updates. They also forgot 2 drinks and a meal which we hesitated to ask for given that it was 9:30 pm before it became apparent the items had been forgotten.
The food was amazing! Especially the rice was delicious! The people were very nice and the server explained everything very well. the price-quality ratio was also really very good. Question: Can you sent me the menu cart on the wall? We ate something delicious in your soda last month, but we don't know the name of the dish. We would like to make it ourselves. I hope you will read this!
