About
Guiding outfit in Puerto Jiménez built around Ulises, whose name comes up in nearly every review. Travelers credit his deep knowledge of Corcovado's flora and fauna for sightings that ranged from pumas and tapirs to sloths, sea turtles and humpback whales on a three-day trip covering Sirena, San Pedrillo, a night hike and Isla del Caño. Others hiked the 22-kilometer La Leona trail with him, and reviewers mention he is patient with slower hikers and good at helping with animal photos. He books up fast in peak season — one group who arrived without a reservation urges planning ahead. Open daily, located beside the Alamo rent-a-car.

We couldn't spend time with Ulises because he already had other tours booked, and we hadn't arranged things in advance, coming during peak season. We highly recommend planning ahead. He put us in touch with another guide who works with "Elias"—a fantastic guide! Ulises made sure we could at least see a little bit of the park, and thanks to him, we were able to go. He found us a beautiful place to stay, which I highly recommend. Ask Denis about staying there for a few days. We hope to return soon to spend at least a week with Ulises and spend more time with him!
Excellent experience with our guide Ulises. Very professional, with extensive knowledge of Corcovado's flora and fauna, and always attentive throughout the tour. Thanks to him, we saw many animals and learned a great deal. Highly recommended.
An unforgettable experience; we saw some beautiful animals. The guide was kind and understanding, especially with those who got tired. He also helped us take some great photos of the animals.
