While staying on the Osa Peninsula, I did two tours with Corcovado Hiking Tours — and both were great experiences. First: Kayaking in the mangroves It was raining quite a lot, so we didn’t see many animals, but the scenery was absolutely stunning. Being so close to the mangroves and their unique flora was incredible. We kayaked calmly up the river — it was peaceful and beautiful, and despite the rain, it wasn’t cold at all. Halfway through, we stopped for a snack and drinks, including fresh coconut and watermelon. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information. Second: Day tour to Corcovado (Sirena Ranger Station) The meeting point was at a local bakery, and from the port we took a boat for about 1.5–2 hours to Corcovado National Park. Our guide was incredibly kind and seemed knowledgeable about almost everything — wildlife, plants, and the ecosystem in general. The organization was smooth and easy. Booking can be done via WhatsApp or directly at their office. You can pay in US dollars or colones, and the prices felt very fair for what you get. Highly recommended!
Corcovado Hiking Tours are just THE BEST. I initially chatted with Inka via WhatsApp to arrange everything months in advance. The communication was smooth and clear and I was able to basically arrange the whole stay at Puerto Jimenez with them, including - 3 night at the Arbol De Vida hotel in Puesto Jimenez - 2 days hiking tour to the Corcovado National Park (Boat In, Hike out) with guide - Night tour - Dolphin watching boat tour The whole experience was impossible to improve, and the guides that we had for each tour were excellent, super nice and knowledgeable, even going the extra mile to make the experience even better, 10000% recommended, KUDOS! :)
We went for 3 days, boat in, hike out visit in Corcovado National Park, stayed in Sirena Ranger Station. Our guide Christian made the event enjoyable, he was taking care of us at the station and on the tours. We managed to see a wild animals, Christian was able to deal with all our questions :-). I recommended Corcovado Hiking Tours. One advice is to take ear plugs, sleeping on the open space, will expose you to various kind of snoring noises, more loud than monkeys around the station.
