Options include birding and La Leona hikes with Juan Carlos, who helped guests spot toucans, all four monkey species, and a crocodile, boat trips with snorkeling, a cacao farm visit, and a bioluminescence paddle where you can actually swim in the glow — with fresh fruit, snacks, goggles, and dry bags provided. Kids are welcome; one family paid nothing extra for their four-year-old.

Just got back from the birding tour, and that was incredible. Their local guide Juan Carlos was very knowledgeable, and provided myself and the other guest, with an unforgettable experience with some of their wild residents. From spotting movement in the distance, to anticipating an animals movements and putting you in range for a clean shot. J. C. Knows his stuff. These are local boys, guiding here for 3 decades. If you want a chance at seeing more, get out with these guys.
We booked two tours with Eric, a boat tour with snorkeling (our guide was David) and a cacao farm tour (Osa Cacao). Both tours exceeded our expectations and ended up being some of our favorite memories from the trip. We booked with him in person at his office in Puerto Jiminez and got much better deals than were available online. Erik was very nice, easy to communicate with, and always responded quickly on WhatsApp. We will 100% reach back out to him again next time we are in town! Five huge stars!!
We did 2 tours (leona and a birdwatching) with Juan Carlos and it was amazing, we got to see some toucans, all 4 types of monkeys, a crocodile Éric was very helpful and the prices were faire, would recommend !!!
