About
Simple self-catering lodging on Route 245 just outside Puerto Jiménez, easy to reach by car — the entrance runs through a mechanic's garage, yet guests say it feels like jungle once inside. Units, including a sturdy canvas-tent house, come equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, bathroom, double bed and electricity, and reviewers consistently call the place clean, quiet and good value, with kind, accommodating hosts. Honest caveats from past guests: earlier stays reported missing mosquito netting upstairs, though a later review says nets are in place; interior lighting is dim; curtains face the owners' terrace; and it is a longish trip to town without a car.

Place is very cool. We booked it via Airbnb. Everything is there: kitchen, equipment etc. Also very clean. The only downside for us were the bugs in the evening/night. Upstairs, on both sides of the bedroom are no insect nets. So the flying bugs find their way into the tent.
Nice place, great and accommodating hosts. A little far out of town if you don't have a car and i personally wasn't a big fan of Puerto Jiménez itself. 5 stars for the hosts. 4 for the building (5 if it had better lighting inside) and 1 for PJ itself lol.
Very nice place, excellent service and very quiet.
