About
A Puerto Jiménez operator for Corcovado National Park trips, from day visits to multi-day overnights at Sirena ranger station. Diana in the office draws steady praise for arranging bookings on short notice and sending clear information up front; guides Enrique, Max, and Sean get named repeatedly for wildlife spotting — tapirs, anteaters, monkeys — and for a collaborative, unhurried style. Travelers have boated in from Drake and hiked out to Carate, with the company transferring a large bag at no extra cost. Dietary needs at Sirena were easy to accommodate. Open daily except Sunday.

We had a fantastic experience with Corcovado Tours. Diana was extremely helpful and responsive in arranging our booking at quite short notice. We opted to boat in from Drake and then hike out the next day to Carate, and Corcovado Tours handled the transfer of a large bag we couldn't carry with us at no extra cost. Our guide Enrique was wonderful and helped us see a huge range of wildlife at the Sirena station. We were particularly pleased by how laid-back and collaborative Enrique's approach was: we were routinely working together to spot animals, or he would ask our advice as we searched for the best place to position the scope for an unobstructed view. The overnight stay at Sirena was comfortable, and it was straightforward to accommodate our dietary needs. The hike to Carate was adventurous but would be accessible to most. The density of wildlife was less than at Sirena, but we saw much more of the landscape of the park, including several beautiful beaches. It was amazing being somewhere that felt so remote: we didn't see any other people in eight hours of walking. Overall I would recommend Corcovado Tours wholeheartedly, and especially to those looking for a bespoke option!
We did a 2 night/3 day tour to Corcovado. Diana helped us to arrange it and was always very responsive to and helpful with any questions we had. She did her very best to accommodate our dates even on late notice. We were given clear information upfront and payment was straight forward. The boat transfers ran smoothly. Our guide, Max, was exceptionally knowledgable and passionate about the wildlife. He managed to maintain his enthusiasm even during the heavy rain! We saw so much wildlife with him and he had endless facts to give us about absolutely everything! Sirena ranger lodge where we slept was basic and comfortable with tasty food and good portion sizes. There was unlimited potable water at the ranger station. Our only criticism would be that for the price of the tour perhaps Corcovado tours could liaise with the ranger station to provide included rubber boot rental and coffee free of charge. These were available but at a significant extra cost ($5 for a cup of coffee from a large metal urn!), and you can't bring any food or drink in with you. Overall we had an excellent time and we would definitely recommend this company!
10 out of 10 experience with Corcovado tours. Diana in the front office was a literal saint with helping us arrange entry into Corcovado and an adventurous hiking filled three day experience a mere week in advance. We were so, grateful that she was so willing and helpful to curate and send information that perfectly matched the experience that we wanted. Our guide Enrique was also fantastic. Super chill man with lots of experience and still so much excitement about flora and fauna after two decades of guiding. We were able to see a tapir, anteater, curacau, three species of monkeys, and countless more animals. Great vibes from everyone we interacted with through the company. We had an unforgettable time 🥹
