About
A Puerto Jiménez operator running Corcovado day trips to La Leona and Sirena plus two-day hikes with an overnight at a jungle camp, boat-in/boat-out available. The guides are the story in review after review: Carlos for his naturalist depth and scope-and-camera skills — one group saw all four monkey species in the first ten minutes — Jairo for his pacing and noticing an anteater by smell, José for phone photos through his telescope and showing a hidden sloth after the tour had ended, and Hido for finding biodiversity of every kind. Lunch gets consistent praise. One reviewer's tip: bring more water than you think you need.

We had an amazing experience on the La Leona Corcovado One Day Tour. Our tour guide, Jairo, was perceptive, knowledgeable, and kept a great pace throughout the day. On the way to La Leona Station, we spotted a toucan—something we had really hoped to see before leaving Costa Rica! Jairo even mentioned that he could smell an anteater and took the time to check the area, even though we didn’t end up seeing one. His attention to detail and awareness of the environment really stood out. The tour flowed very smoothly—we never felt rushed, nor did we experience unnecessary delays. Lunch was delicious as well. One suggestion for improvement: it would be helpful if the website recommended how much water to bring for the tour. I noticed in another Google review that someone struggled due to not being well prepared, and clearer guidance would make the experience even better.
I highly recommend this tour (boat in/boat out)! We were very lucky to have Carlos as our guide, he is truly one of the best guides we’ve ever met. He has a big “green” heart, is very open-minded, and brings such positive energy to the experience. Carlos is an experienced naturalist, very knowledgeable and professional, and you can clearly feel his deep passion for nature in everything he shares. He answered all our questions in a very engaging and interesting way. We did a two-day hiking tour with an overnight stay at a lovely jungle camp, and it was an unforgettable experience. On the first day, we reached the park by boat and then went on a morning walk, where we saw many beautiful and fascinating creatures. Carlos shared a wealth of insights about the wildlife, the ecosystem, the history of the area, and Costa Rica in general. What stood out the most was his deep respect for nature and every living creature. He also prioritises safety and follows high standards, which made us feel completely comfortable and in good hands. It was truly a privilege to learn from him, share his passion, and connect with the local nature on such a deep level. We are very grateful for this experience. Thank you Carlos from the bottom of our hearts and we wish you all the best! We highly recommend this tour 💚 On the first day, we arrived by boat, and on the second day, we hiked out through the jungle. Our guide, Jenkins, was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts about the plants, animals, and local history along the way. He also does an amazing job collecting plastic and trash that washes in from the ocean, which deserves a lot of respect and appreciation. Sadly, during the hike out, we saw quite a lot of plastic and trash along the coastline. It truly doesn’t belong in such a beautiful and wild natural place. In general, I think it would be great to attract volunteers on a regular basis, because unfortunately the trash keeps arriving from other places with the ocean currents. Protecting places like this is such an important mission for all of us 💚
We had an amazing Sirena day tour with Corcovado Wild Tour! 🇨🇷 Our guide Jo (I think it was José, like the capital city 😉) was fantastic and shared his extensive knowledge about the national park's plants and trees with us. He put so much effort into finding as many animals as possible. 🌳🐾 He reacted immediately to any movement nearby and always made sure that everyone in the group got a good look. We really appreciated that he also tried to take great photos for us with our mobile phones through his telescope, which is actually quite a challenge! 📸🔭 We enjoyed a nice group lunch together during the break. 🍲 What really stood out was the end of the tour: since our group had to wait a bit longer for our boat, José went above and beyond. Even though the tour was technically over, he used the extra time to show us a well-hidden sloth. 🦥✨ He did his best to make sure we could see it clearly, which we truly appreciated! Thank you again, José, for this unforgettable experience! 🙌✨
