Osa Fishing Trips

So....... A friend and I made plans spur of the moment to go fishing in Costa. We were simply googling charter services down there and camme across Osa, and Will. Will put us in touch with Oscar Villalobos who runs a lodge called Auga Dolce. We mistakenly booked a pretty bare bones AirBnb in Golfito and upon arrival discovered there was no AC and pretty lacking. We weren't sure what to do and the charter leaves out of Puerta Jimenez, not Golfito, which is a 2.5 hr drive away, all this after driving 6 plus hrs from San Jose. We had enough lol!! We called Oscar told him we hit a snag and he came across the straight and picked us and our luggage up at the pier and took us to his lodge and put us up in a beach front bungalow on the ocean!!! One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. 100% saved the day. Fed us dinner, cold a.c. drinks, the works. slept well and went fishing in the a.m. Everything went as planned, trip was beautiful and fish were definitely caught. Back to the beautiful lodge and Oscar had his staff cook our fresh catch of the day, could not ask for a better day. And sure enough the next day was even better. Oscar put us on the fish again, only this was directly out of a National Geographic episode. He fully orchestrated a multi boat tuna hunting expedition. Once the spotter boat located the bait ball, dolphin school, and mass tuna, the fish was on! and I mean ON!!! this was like nothing I have ever seen before. Keep in mind all this and Oscar never asked for a deposit, last name, credit card or any of the sort. Again, we came in, stopped at Oscars place where his wife prepared sushi for us with drinks on the beach. Then returned to the lodge, for showers after his staff did all of our laundry, went to his restaurant for more sushi. He then came to pick us up for dinner where we brought more tuna of the day to be prepared at his brothers restaurant in town. I could go on and on, this was one of the most magnificent trips of our lives all made very much possible by Oscar and all of his 5 star staff. Many thanks !!!! And yes would recommend to anyone , anytime !!! Keeping in mind all of this was made possible by Will making the introduction, he does this free of charge in an effort to have visitors and guides have the best experience, which we most surlye did! Thank you all for a most fabulous time !!!!
