A small hostel set genuinely in the jungle outside Puerto Jiménez, where guests describe waking to howler monkeys and parrots, watching squirrel monkeys and toucans on the short walk from reception, and following a path down to a creek on the property. Reviewers repeatedly single out the hosts — Peter built the place himself and gets thanks for area tips and even early-morning rides to the bus terminal in town. The building is described as bright, clean and modern-rustic, with a well-equipped kitchen (sharp knives earn a specific mention). One guest offers a useful filter: if you want a party hostel, this quiet spot is not it. Reception is open around the clock.

WOW! What an incredible time I had at Osa Jungle Hostel. Peter and Allen are incredible hosts who are extremely kind and knowledgeable about the area. The property is stunning, modern yet rustic located in the jungle. There is a creek a short walk away which was breathtaking and magnificent! The animal sounds, plants and trees, sunrise and sunset- everything about this place is beyond words. I hope to return to this paradise soon! Thank you for everything!
This place is real treasure, located right in the middle of jungle. I couldn't choose better place for stay in Osa Peninsula. I felt like home from the first moment. The owners are amazing and the food is delicious!! You'll wake up every day with the sound of nature, monkeys jumping right in front of you, so many toucans and beautiful parrots are always around. It feels like Animal Planet documentary live! Highly recommended!!
Wow!!! What a beautiful space in the jungle. The land surrounding the property is incredible, filled with lush plants, trees and flowers. There is even a path that leads down to a creek. The hostel itself is bright and clean. The owners are wonderful people that truly welcome you and make you feel right at home :) highly recommended!!!!
