About
A cheap, cheerful fried chicken spot in Puerto Jiménez that travelers keep raving about — one regular says he dreams of this pollo when he is away, another calls it the best fried chicken of their lives. The chicken is cooked fresh to order, so expect a short wait, and the flavor is clean rather than fast-food artificial; one visitor did find theirs a touch dry. Reviewers mention the ever-smiling owner, Don Oscar, who speaks English, though service otherwise runs mostly in Spanish. Dine in, take out, or get delivery. Open 9 AM to 10 PM on weekdays; evenings only, 6 to 10 PM, on weekends.

Last minute decision to get some fried chicken. Was cooked fresh, so took a little while. Perhaps overcooked for our preference - it was a little dry. Tasty without being full-of-artificial flavours that you get with American fast food. Service was friendly, but in essentially in Spanish only.
Amazing chicken prices was awesome. The owner was very nice and helpful. He can speak English too. Great place and people.
Best chicken in the whole wide world! I frequent Puerto Jimenez and stop in every time. When I'm away I dream of pollo from Opi Opi! The owner Don Oscar is always smiling.
