About
A classic Costa Rican soda in Puerto Jiménez with a view over the bay, and the kind of place reviewers describe as where the locals actually eat. The fish gets called extremely fresh, the ceviche is a repeated favorite, and patacones and other sides earn mentions too — portions are huge and prices fair, which several diners note is exactly what you hope for. Fair warning from busy nights: when tables fill up you may need to order at the counter yourself, and food can take a while. One diner found the fried squid dry, but the ceviche tasty. Closed Tuesdays; otherwise open 11 in the morning to 10 at night, with outdoor seating.

Our ceviche was quite tasty, unfortunately the fried squid was totally dry, but on the positive side the portions were large.
We came on a Saturday evening and all tables were full so she didn't come around to take the order but you had to go up yourself. The food took at least 30 minutes which is pretty long for a Soda. Food itself was really good and also cheap, portions were huge. Would go back at a different time and day.
We ate here several times during our stay last dezember in Puerto Jiménez and we kept coming back for a reason. The food is delicious, authentic, and very fairly priced. Every meal we had was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when eating in Costa Rica. The service was warm and friendly, and we always felt welcome. Another big highlight is the beautiful view of the bay of Puerto Jiménez. Enjoying great local food while looking out over the water is simply perfect. Highly recommended!
